Was a longer lens used in Frames #2 and #3 than in Frame #1? In each we have
three views of the Trump Building. In
#1 the Trump Building is in the
extreme lower left. In #2 and #3 it is near where UA 175 makes
impact.
There are only two ways that the plane's size can increase between Frames #1 and #2. Either
a longer lens was used in #2, or there was a reduction in the distance between the camera and
the plane.
If we assume that a longer lens was used, it is worth remembering that
longer lenses
compresses horizontal distances and enlarges vertical ones. In other words, if #1 shows the top of the
Trump Building
about ten floors or so below of the South Tower, when using a longer lens
and shooting the same relationship from the east side, the distance between
plane and top of building will increase.
