Taken by itself, the zoom-out of WTC 7 credited to the enterprising Naudet brothers is not
remarkable. What is incredible is that after the Biblical events of
the morning of 9/11/01 that the Naudets thought to set up a tripod and
shoot WTC 7 before it suddenly collapsed. In
the video "911", the firefighter
James Hanlon says that WTC 7 "finally" collapsed. However,
the documentation is quite clear about WTC 7. It was not hit by major debris. The
source of the mysterious fires which burned all
day is unclear. So is what fueled kept the fires going. Finally, why it suddenly decided
to fall at around 5:20 p.m. remains one of the biggest question marks about 9/11/01.
Was WTC 7 simply full of grief at the loss of its two companions?
